ABOUT ULINZI AFRICA

The African continent is home to a vast collection of species ranging in size from microscopic to the largest land mammal. There is one thing that all these species share despite the vast differences in size. This being that their existence is being threatened, human wildlife conflict is on the rise throughout the continent. The growing human population is encroaching into once wild areas. The result is conflicts that neither are winning and an urgent need for solutions to co-exist peacefully.

Ulinzi was founded to help foster a better world by protecting Africa’s wild spaces. Our name comes from the Swahili word “Ulinzi” which means to ‘protect’ or ‘to defend’. We have taken this sentiment to heart and are harnessing the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) with the help of our partners Valiance Solutions to make Africa a safer place for all living things.

Our team has a key interest in conservation, therefore our focus is harnessing the power of Valiance Solutions Wildlife solutions. By doing this we aim to reduce poaching and the illegal wildlife trade throughout Africa. Technology is a tool which we are harnessing to protect wildlife before it is used to harm wildlife. We are constantly working alongside various partners to improve and tailor our AI solutions for each individual.
